The best of both planets

Chapter Two

Captain Kordith sat at the helm station trying to crash the Venture on
the world below.  Exidam genetically modified super solders tried to
break down the door behind Kordith.  These super solders have been
modified with telepathic cells so that even if you managed to cut off
its head, its body would keep on coming for you.  It also allows them
to talk to each other, allowing them to think quick and unanimously, so
they never hesitate. For these reasons the humans incorrectly call
them undead.

Areeona is a shape shifter that goes by the name Aubrey and her tube
has just now been released by Stella.

Aubrey woke to bright lights so she shifted into her usual human form.
Some one was standing over her with a gun strapped to her side.
Aubrey almost shifted into a more defaceable form, but then she recognized the person as Stella, the Ventures Chief Security Officer. Aubrey relaxed a little, but then she saw something out of the corner
of her eye, outside the pods window, - water. 'Those humans sure know
how to get them selves in a real mess don't they.' thought Aubrey.
"What is it this time?" said Aubrey, exasperated.
"Don't worry, I've got the water problem under control." said Stella.
"Sure you do," said Aubrey, doubtful. "Then why do you need me?"
"Well, I need some one intelligent to talk to."
'The humans know who is smarter, you can give them that much' Aubrey thought.
"Yes I'm listening." Said Aubrey.
"Well, I was thinking about the captain and his decision to go down with the ship." said Stella.
"The captain may have stayed with the ship, but I doubt that he
intends to go down with the ship. Knowing the Captain, he is going to use the Valiant as his life pod." said Aubrey.
"But what about those, Things?" asked Stella.
"That is for him to know and for us to find out. Now, I'm going to check on what you plan to do to get us out of this small pod." with that Aubrey left. She went and found George who was clearly the engineer.
"So, how are you planing to get us out of here?" asked Aubrey.
"My mom told me not to talk with strangers." said George.
"Ok, I'm out of here."said Aubrey thowing her hands up in the air. Aubrey then went back to Stella, to "have some one intelligent to talk to"
"What happened to him?" asked Aubrey, motioning to George.
"Oh, you mean George?" asked Stella. Aubrey nodded.
"Well, he did't get enough oxygen on the way down." Sella said.
"And you didn't wake up the doctor!" said Aubrey.
"Well you see the pod kinda didn't have one." said Stella.
"No doctor!" exclaimed Aubrey. 'I'm going to have to do this my way.'  she thought.  "He thinks your his mom right?" she asked.
"Yes" Stella said slowly.
"Good" and with that Aubrey was off to see George, shifting shape on the way.
"Mom, look what I'm doing to save us!" said George excitedly.
'That was easy' thought Aubrey as George led her to his tube.
"Look" he said pointing at his tube.  The tube was filled with water, and Aubrey saw a heavily patched hole at the back of the tube. That and the wall seamed to be cristoline and 75% elasticity. And there was a
gun on the floor. The kid, or man, what ever you call him must have shot the hole and half melted the wall with that gun on the floor.' Aubrey thought. 'But how is it going to work?'
"It's all cool and all but how is it going to work?" asked Aubrey.
"We'll use the heaters to boil the water, the pressure the and heat will raise the submarine!" George said giggling. But I will have to do this to all the tubes." finished George very quickly.

'This just might work, and not bad for a three year old.'  thought Aubrey.  'Just one problem, we are going to get crowded fast.'
